#11
Gregg Rehberger
Dob: 8-14-73
Defender
Hometown/H.S.: Wayne/Wayne Hills HS
College: Rutger's University- Newark '96

Gregg is the emotional leader of this team. He is a second generation team member following in his father Mattew's footsteps. A hard nosed tackler and playmaker, there are few 50/50 balls he loses out on.

#
Ken Kneis

Forward

Hometown/H.S.: Wayne/Wayne Hills HS
College: Catholic University/Seton Hall

Player/Coach of this year's team, Ken is a second generation player following in his dad's footsteps with Haledon, who formed the club in 1954..

# 5
Brad "Smitty" Smith
Dob: 4-22-72
Midfield

Hometown/H.S.: Wayne/Wayne Hill HS
College: Maryland/William Paterson

A gritty player who never backs down, "Smitty" was the team's MVP in 2001. Just try and outlast him at the club, I dare you.

# 12
Brett Weiss
Dob: 7-17-72
Midfield
Hometown/H.S.: Mahwah/Wayne Hills HS

Cranbury

Another product of Wayne Hills, Brett is known for his speed on the flanks. Combined with his fiery play, he has been a stalwart for HLSC the past four years.

# 2
Giancarlo Lepore

One of the most mellow, yet skillful players on the field, "Carlo" rarely makes mental errors or gets put off his game. He has had shown some terrific play since joining the team in the fall of 1998.

# 0
Matt Kastner

The last line of defence for the team, Matty has made many brilliant plays to pull the team out of a jam. The team MVP in their championship year of 2000.

#13
Matt Huebner
Dob: 5-18-72
Defender

Hometown/H.S.: Haledon/Manchester HS

A speedy and hardnosed man marker, Matty is not afraid to make a run up on offense. Or shave his hair into an inspirational work of art.

Frank Piccininni
Dob: 4-19-70
Defender/Midfield
Hometown/H.S.: Chestnut Ridge/Spring Valley HS
College:
SUNY Plattsburgh '92

#
Michael Shale
Dob: 2-28-73
Defender
Hometown/H.S.: Basking Ridge/Ridge H.S.
College:
University of Scranton '95
Last Club: Ridge Rovers

Smart and composed in the back, Shale brings a level of fitness to the team that few...ok, no one has. He'll always be the FNG though.

# 4
Marc Riccardi
Dob:
Defender
Hometown/H.S.: Wayne Hills
College:
Indiana University
Last Club: Wayne Hills High School

Marc is both a stopper, and a healer as he tends to Steve's constant rehab requirements at his physical therapy office. Marc is a skilled and bruising defender who slows down at the last minute when racing to a ball so he can go in hard on the guy from the other team trying to get to the ball.

# 10
Jim McIntyre
Dob: 3/8/80
Forward
Hometown/H.S.: Hackettstown/Hackettstown
College:
Moravian College (Football) '02

Coming back to soccer after a stellar college football career, Jim's speed and tenacity are sure to create lots of chances up front.

#
Vincent Gatto
Dob: 6/18/74
Midfield
Hometown/H.S.: Summit/ Central Regional (Toms River)
College: Wisconsin-Milwaukee/Richard Stockton

#
Werner Mashig
Dob: 7/6/79
Forward
Hometown/H.S.: Edgewater/Ramapo HS
College:
Steven's Tech '02
Last Club: Clarkstown

A fiece competitor, once Werner turns the corner with the ball few defenders can catch up to him. His only drawback is his inability to speak a lick of German.

#
Jon Katz
Dob: 12/8/74
Midfield
Hometown/H.S.: Freehold/Freehold Twp. HS
College:
Arizona State
Last Club: Scottsdale Utd (AZ)

Jon first joined the team in the spring of 2002, and is beginning his first full season with the squad. Jon is a fierce competitor who has ably filled in in the midfield over the past two springs.

#
Dennis Oriwa
Dob: 11/12/75
Forward
Hometown/H.S.: Kenya
College:
Ramapo College
Last Club:

Back with the club after several years in self-imposed exile, Dennis is a skilled forward who can blow by defenders with bursts of speed. We miss the dreads though.

#
Albert Otieno
Dob:
Back
Hometown/H.S.:
College:

Last Club:

All we know about Albert is that he is Dennis' cousin (also back for his second stint with the team), works hard, doesn't say anything, and always smiles. And that's...ok.

#
Mark Wright
Dob:
Back
Hometown/H.S.: Podunk, Vermont
College:
University of Vermont
Last Club:
Hamburg '96

When Mark isn't jet setting around the world, showing off his Wharton diploma, he is patrolling the midfield with skill and toughness.
